Blair's Wedding

I went to the Crusaders vs Sharks rugby game last night. What a shocker of a night! It had been raining the whole day, and when we got out of the car to walk to the stadium, it started hailing! I got pelted with little bits of ice, so by the time we got to the stadium, I was soaked and my feet were cold. Funnily enough, I lasted through the first half of the game, then went off to try to find a mate who was sitting elsewhere (I couldn't find her in the end), and while I was walking around trying to find her, that's when my feet started hurting from the cold. By the time the second half of the game got under way, I was numb in the toes and in danger of losing some digits from frostbite! I left halfway through the second half, and when I got home and peeled my shoes and socks off, I discovered my feet were wet. I was wearing leather boots, I thought they were waterproof. Apparently not. *sigh*

Today was the day of Blair's wedding, and the weather was much the same as yesterday's. Revolting. Yuck and more yuck. At least it stopped raining briefly during our walk from the car to the wedding venue. And it stopped raining briefly during our walk from the wedding venue to my car. So we were quite lucky in that respect. Coulda done with that sorta luck during the rugby game!

I wore a silk babydoll dress with side pockets from Forever New in Melbourne that I hadn't had the chance to wear till tonight, tights, and my black knee-high boots from Overland. I never took off my cardigan the whole time. I was layered up in scarves and a trench coat on top of the cardi, and I only took it off for the wedding photos. The temperature was below 10 degrees =( so that was the only sucky part about the wedding. The bride looked amazing, and the groom was sweating. Ha ha I think he was the only one in the room who was sweating! But it was probably from running around organising stuff.
